A Wonderful Weekend in Spokane
I had a wonderful time in the beautiful city of Spokane, WA. I’ve always wanted to spend some time in the Lilac City did not disappoint. My first stop in getting prepared for my trip was to visit the local commerce website which led me to https://www.visitspokane.com/ a site that told me everything I needed to know to plan my visit and enjoy all the best of Spokane.
During my first morning in Spokane, I decided to try Common Crumb Artisan Bakery my traveling companion was excited to try the coffee and I couldn’t wait to try a small assortment of breakfast bread, muffins, and other treats. After leaving Common Crumb, and feeling more than a little stuffed, it was time to take in some sights.
I decided that what better to walk off a delicious breakfast than a walk on the riverside trails of Centennial Park. The Spokane River is gorgeous and with over 40 miles of lush terrain to walk and bike, it was easy to spend the remainder of the day at Centennial Park.
On day two of my Spokane visit, I wanted to spend some time around the unique art and culture that I knew was such a beloved part of the city. I made my way to the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. I was able to tour the nearby mansion and learn a lot about the history of the Northwest including quite a bit about the Indigenous peoples.
After two full days meeting many wonderful people and seeing sites that make Spokane one of the most unique destinations in the Pacific Northwest I was time to head back home, but not before making a list of places to see on my next visit.
